Course Overview
About Course
Oracle Applications Technical Training is an immersive 40‑hour program designed to empower technical professionals to build, customize, and support Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) environments. Starting with a deep dive into the 3-tier architecture and application tier-file structures, participants learn how components like APPL_TOP, COMMON_TOP, INST_TOP, databases, and servers interact within Oracle’s ecosystem.
Next, trainees configure the Application Object Library (AOL), managing users, responsibilities, menus, and concurrent processing schedules—understanding WHO columns and parameterized request control. They advance into Flexfields mastery by defining Key and Descriptive Flexfields with dynamic validations and default rules
Technical modules focus on data interfaces and conversions using SQL*Loader, staging tables, and APIs, enabling bulk data ingestion and transformation. Participants will manage file system-level personalization via Oracle Forms (.pll) and extend customizations further using Oracle Application Framework (OAF), a Java-based MVC toolset.
Workflow automation sessions teach workflow creation, role-based branching, and notification setups using Oracle Workflow. Reporting modules guide learners through RDF and BI Publisher—covering data models, template creation, bursting, and job scheduling.
Advanced modules include usage of Oracle APIs and PL/SQL scripting for routine automation, and diagnostics-driven troubleshooting involving Oracle Forms, personalizations, OAF, and debugging logs —preparing students for real-world issue resolution.
Deployment and version management rounds out the training—covering patching techniques, object export/import, and release control. The capstone project challenges participants to architect and present a complete custom Oracle environment: data conversion, custom forms, workflows, reports, and UI personalization.
Ideal for developers, technical leads, and Oracle integration specialists, this training offers a full technical spectrum—from architecture and data loading to customization, workflow, reporting, and deployment. Learners complete the course with practical experience, certification alignment, and a professional project document—ready for roles such as Oracle Apps Technical Consultant, EBS Developer, or Middleware Specialist.
