Course Overview
About Course
Microsoft Dynamics AX (now transitioning into Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations) is a robust ERP platform designed for enterprises managing finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and projects. This 40‑hour functional training equips participants with practical expertise in configuring and optimizing AX to support core business operations.
The training begins with an overview of ERP and AX capabilities, giving learners confidence with navigation and environment setup. A deep dive into Financial Management covers end-to-end processes: general ledger setup, AP/AR workflows, asset management, budgeting, multi-currency handling, tax configuration, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting—providing a strong foundation in enterprise accounting.
In Trade & Logistics, learners explore inventory configuration, order processing (sales and purchase), item receipts, picking, packing, inventory postings, and returns. Advanced topics such as trade agreements, serial/batch tracking, and quality management are also addressed to impart operational precision.
The Production & BOM segment addresses manufacturing lifecycle—from defining BOMs, work centers, and routes, to handling production orders: estimation, scheduling, release, and shop floor job posting. This equips participants to support end-to-end manufacturing workflows.
Warehouse operations are enhanced through targeted training on warehouse layouts, inventory cycles, mobile warehouse processes, and advanced postings—key for efficient fulfillment.
Project management is addressed by configuring project contracts, budgeting, time and expense tracking, and integrating project costs into financials. Reporting modules teach standard financial and operational reports, BI integration through Excel and SSRS.
Security and setup sessions guide role-based access control, chart of accounts setup, and organizational hierarchies. An integration primer introduces AIF and external data flows.
The program concludes with a capstone project simulating a business process: from procurement through production and invoicing. It includes certification preparation for Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant (MB‑300/310 exams)—reflecting AX skill foundations.
Delivered via expert-led sessions, hands-on labs, and real-world scenarios, this training offers lasting access and career support—equipping consultants and functional analysts to effectively implement and manage Dynamics AX Finance & Supply Chain modules.
