Course Overview
About Course
This 40‑hour Informatica MDM training empowers IT professionals to implement enterprise-grade Master Data Management systems, ensuring unified and trusted data across domains like Customer, Product, and Supplier. Participants begin by mastering MDM fundamentals, business drivers, and Hub architecture. Through hands-on modules, learners deploy and configure the MDM Hub, developing schemas, base objects, and staging environments.
Core sessions guide students in orchestrating data ingestion using land, stage, and load processes, incorporating cleansing, delta detection, validation, and trust frameworks. Comprehensive match and merge modules cover tokenization, matching rules (exact/fuzzy), survivorship, and harmonization strategies. Subsequent stewardship training enables data stewards to operate Data Manager, Merge Manager, and Hierarchy Manager interfaces, execute queries, and perform root-cause analysis.
Security and governance are thoroughly addressed with section access, user roles, and encryption. Students schedule and monitor batch jobs, navigate logs, and troubleshoot operational scenarios. Integration capabilities are explored through SIF APIs, and Data Director workflows. Performance tuning ensures scalable, high-performing deployments through clustering, caching, and server optimization.
In the capstone exercise, learners design and implement a full end-to-end MDM solution—from ingestion to API publication—preparing them for real-world implementation and Informatica certification exams. Combining hands-on labs, real use cases, and expert guidance, this training equips participants to excel as MDM Developers or Administrators in enterprise data governance initiatives.
