Course Overview
About Course
DevOps on AWS combines agile collaboration with cloud-native tools to automate software delivery, infrastructure management, and operational excellence. AWS offers robust services—such as CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, and CloudWatch—to implement end-to-end DevOps workflows.
This 40‑hour training begins with essential DevOps philosophy and AWS fundamentals, giving learners a strong foundation. Leveraging Git and AWS CodeCommit, the course seamlessly progresses into building CI environments using Jenkins and CodeBuild. Participants then master full CI/CD pipelines—code commits trigger builds, tests, deployments, and rollbacks using AWS CodePipeline and CodeDeploy.
Emphasizing automation, the Infrastructure as Code module teaches deploying standardized infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and comparing its merits with Terraform. The training also covers configuration management using Ansible and AWS Systems Manager, enabling consistent multi-environment deployments.
Containerization skills are built through Docker labs and hands-on exercises with AWS ECS and EKS, fostering scalable application delivery. The serverless section equips learners with AWS Lambda and the Serverless Application Model to automate event-driven deployments.
Operational readiness is ensured via monitoring and observability—CloudWatch metrics, logs, dashboards, and third-party integrations—empowering rapid issue detection and resolution. Security is embedded throughout: IAM best practices, secure secret handling, pipeline hardening, and automated threat detection tools like AWS GuardDuty.
The capstone project allows participants to synthesize all modules, delivering a production-ready app with robust CI/CD, infrastructure automation, containers or serverless setup, observability, and security posture. This immersive, practical approach builds confidence and positions learners for real-world DevOps roles and the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification.
