Course Overview
About Course
Modern systems developers increasingly leverage Rust, Go, and C++ to build fast, safe, and scalable software. This 40‑hour training empowers developers to master all three languages side by side—understanding their unique strengths, idioms, standards, and inter-operability.
We begin with setup for all three ecosystems—Cargo, Go modules, and CMake—and write basic programs to explore tooling and compilation. Module 2 aligns syntax and semantics, highlighting how Go offers simplicity while Rust and C++ emphasize control and performance
Core data structures and memory-affecting paradigms are contrasted: Rust’s ownership and borrow checker, Go’s garbage-collected slices/maps, and C++’s pointer-based containers. Error handling is then explored—Rust’s Result, Go’s error, and C++ exceptions—emphasizing safety and clarity. Concurrency training spans Rust threads/channels, Go goroutines with select, and C++ standard threading with atomics.
Abstraction forms are compared: Rust traits and generics, Go interfaces for duck typing, and C++ templates plus OOP. The interoperability module introduces FFI, enabling cross-language calls—calling high-performance C++ modules from Rust or Go.
Tooling across all three is emphasized: testing frameworks, linters/formatters (Clippy, go fmt, clang-format), and performance diagnostic tools. Case-study modules cover applying Rust for systems/microservices, Go for backend services, and C++ for compute-heavy applications.
A language-integrated capstone unifies learning: a modular CLI or service with Rust logic, Go REST API, and C++ compute module. Through testing, profiling, and cross-language binding, participants gain hands-on experience deploying multi-language solutions.
This training incorporates live labs, debugging sessions, and expert instruction. With a year’s access to materials, code repos, and community support, developers gain a well-rounded, portfolio-ready skill set. Graduates will confidently tackle roles in systems engineering, backend microservices, DevOps tooling, and high-performance computing—armed with versatility across three powerful language ecosystems.
