Course Overview
About Course
SAP WM (Warehouse Management) Training is a structured 40-hour program designed to develop deep expertise in managing complexities of warehouse operations via SAP ERP/S‑4HANA. Participants begin by situating WM within SAP’s Logistics Execution framework and understanding its essential role in supporting procurement-to-production flows. This foundation underscores WM’s importance in industries where precision and efficiency are pivotal
In the early modules, learners configure organizational structures—defining warehouse numbers, storage types, sections, bins, and units—to mirror real-world facilities and optimize material flows Master data work follows, including material master WM views and bin attributes, essential for automation and traceability
Inbound process training covers goods receipt interfacing from MM, transfer requirement generation, and transfer order creation. Then, putaway strategies—fixed-bin, next-empty, pallet, and zone-based—are taught to minimize handling time and maximize space usage
Outbound processes introduce delivery creation, picking methods (FIFO, LIFO, shelf-life based), and orchestrating transfer order workflows. Participants also handle posting changes, stock transfers, and inter-warehouse movements .
Inventory management modules train learners to manage physical stock counts, posting variances, and execute inventory procedures. Specialized sessions cover packaging logistics and hazardous material protocols in compliance with safety standards
Monitoring is enhanced through configuring warehouse activity monitors, generating reports, and establishing dashboards for key operational metrics. Integration exercises link WM to IM, MM, SD, PP, and QM modules, underlining holistic enterprise supply chain operations
A capstone project consolidates the learning by simulating end-to-end warehouse operations—from master data setup through goods movement and reporting—ensuring participants are exam-ready and job-ready. They leave equipped to serve as SAP WM Consultants or Logistics Specialists, with strong hands-on experience and certification alignment in warehouse management.
