About Course
SAP HANA is an in‑memory, column‑oriented, relational database and application platform enabling real-time analytics and transactional workloads in a single engine—a true HTAP system. It runs on multi-core hardware with scale-up/out designs, uses MVCC for concurrency and supports advanced analytics like spatial, graph, text, predictive, and machine learning functionality
Over 40 hours, participants build expertise across architecture, modeling, SQLScript, app development, performance tuning, analytics, administration, cloud, and integration. Early modules deconstruct the HANA architecture, exposing learners to SAP HANA Studio, Web IDE, and Cockpit capabilities. Data modeling modules teach creation of attribute, analytic, and calculation views, while provisioning labs show real-time ingestion via SLT, SDA/SDI, and flat‑file ETL.
Development modules emphasize advanced SQL, stored procedures, and JavaScript/Node.js mini-apps using XS Advanced, including OData service implementation for frontend applications. Performance sessions utilize tracing, indexing, and storage optimizations to ensure fast analytics.
Learners also explore predictive analytics, spatial, graph, and text processing engines, and integrate R scripts, extending HANA’s analytical reach. Administration picks up with user and role management, backups, replication, security, encryption, HA/DR strategies, and differences between on‑prem and cloud MTCs.
Integration labs cover BW/4HANA, CDS views, ADBC, and S/4HANA, situating HANA within the SAP ecosystem. Monitoring sessions utilize Cockpit and SQL trace tools.
The training culminates in a capstone project: modeling data, provisioning it, building an OData service-backed web app, and presenting it. Paired with certification prep—aligned to SAP Certified Associate – SAP HANA—and backed by labs, mock exams, and career coaching, graduates emerge ready for roles like SAP HANA Consultant, Developer, or Data Architect.

- Query execution plans, indexing, column vs row store, partitioning, tracing (ST05)

- XS Advanced/JavaScript/Node.js apps, OData services, HTML5/Fiori apps & lifecycle management

- Predictive Analysis Library, graph, spatial, text processing, R integration
