Course Overview
About Course
The SAP ABAP Training offers an immersive 40‑hour journey into SAP’s core programming language. Participants begin with a solid introduction to SAP architecture and development tools—covering ABAP Workbench and ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse—laying the groundwork for scripting and environment setup
Early sessions focus on basic ABAP syntax, variables, control statements, and essential internal table operations—all foundational to processing data within SAP systems . The course then explores Open SQL and ABAP Dictionary, instructing participants to create and manage database tables, views, and types, and to extract/query data efficiently and securely
Transitioning to UI, learners build classical and ALV reports, implement user input via selection screens, and develop dialog transactions with screens and flow logic (PBO/PAI). Modular programming principles come next—emphasizing subroutines, INCLUDEs, and function modules grouped by business logic. RFC-capable modules enable integrations across systems through sRFC, tRFC, and qRFC .
Advancing into modern paradigms, the training covers object-oriented ABAP, enabling maintainable and extensible code design. It deep-dives into field symbols, internal table performance, and debugging & performance tuning tools—leveraging ST05 traces and runtime analyses.
For end-to-end application delivery, attendees learn SmartForms and Adobe Forms, designing print layouts and transcript drivers. The capstone project consolidates all skills: building a full-featured application—from data modeling and reporting, through screens, modular logic, remote calls, to form output—mirroring enterprise development.
Graduates finish with robust experience in classical and modern ABAP, enabling them to confidently step into roles like ABAP Developer or SAP Technical Consultant, ready for certification and real-world projects within SAP landscapes.
