Course Overview

About Course

This 40‑hour Oracle SQL & PL/SQL Training equips you with essential and advanced database programming capabilities using Oracle’s robust ecosystem. Beginning with SQL fundamentals, you’ll master data retrieval and manipulation—building queries with filtering, sorting, aggregations, subqueries, set operations, views, and joins. You’ll also learn to define and manage schema components such as tables, views, indexes, sequences, and constraints.

Delving deeper, the course introduces performance optimization. You’ll explore transaction controls, isolation levels, explain plan analysis, indexing strategies, and SQL*Trace for tuning complex queries. These practices ensure smooth and efficient database operations.

The program then transitions into procedural extensions with PL/SQL: you’ll structure code with anonymous blocks, manage flow with conditions and loops, utilize cursors for record processing, and handle exceptions gracefully. This forms the foundation for secure and maintainable database programming.

Next, modular design is emphasized—using stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. You’ll build reusable, encapsulated logic, learn about package specifications and bodies, row and statement triggers for audit and integrity enforcement, and follow debugging best practices. PL/SQL collections—associative arrays, nested tables, VARRAYs—as well as dynamic SQL via EXECUTE IMMEDIATE and DBMS_SQL, allow you to write adaptive, efficient database logic.

Security is covered thoroughly: creating users, assigning roles, managing privileges, and ensuring controlled access aligns with enterprise standards. Oracle tools like SQL Developer and SQL*Plus are explored for productivity, along with best practices such as coding standards, logging with DBMS_OUTPUT, and versioning SQL scripts.

The capstone integrates all modules into a mini-project—such as an order-tracking system—applying SQL, PL/SQL programming, triggers, security, and optimization to deliver a functional application. Graduates leave with a solid portfolio piece and the confidence to build and maintain complex Oracle-based systems. This training aligns with industry demands and best practices, preparing you for roles as Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL Programmer, or Database Engineer.
