Course Overview
About Course
Oracle Functional Training is a 40-hour immersive program designed to equip professionals with process-driven expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). Starting with an overview of ERP principles and Multi-Org architecture, participants gain clarity on business unit segregation, data access controls, and navigation through core modules including Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, and HR .
A key focus is on flexfields and configuration, empowering participants to define customized data fields, validation logic, and lookup mechanisms that align EBS with unique business needs. Accounting modules gain depth with instruction on General Ledger setup, journal processing, period closes, and integration with sub-ledgers, while AP and AR modules teach invoice cycles, supplier/customer setups, and aging processes. Cash Management and Fixed Assets further round out financial mastery.
The Supply Chain and Procurement area covers item management, transactions, order-to-cash flows, purchase-to-pay cycles using RFQs, POs, receipts, and invoice matching . Order Management modules focus on order configuration, pricing strategies, shipping, and OM-AR integration.
Participants also learn Project Accounting, covering budget control, expense tracking, and billing methods. Reporting modules enable expertise in FSG, standard financial reports, and Oracle BI tools such as OTBI and BI Publisher .
Workflow and alerts training equips users to automate business processes and manage approval hierarchies. Data setup skills include using Web ADI and built-in interfaces. Administrators gain insight into role-based security and audit mechanisms.
The program culminates in a capstone project, where learners execute an end-to-end business process—from configuration to transaction, reporting, and governance—mirroring real-world ERP implementations. Certification prep ensures readiness for Oracle Functional Consultant credentials. With hands-on labs, real-world use cases, and career guidance, graduates emerge prepared for roles as Oracle Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, or ERP Specialists supported by Oracle official learning paths
