Course Overview
About Course
Oracle Apps Finance Training is a comprehensive 40-hour program designed to equip finance and ERP professionals with end-to-end expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials. Covering core areas like General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, Fixed Assets (FA), Subledger Accounting (SLA), E-Business Tax (EBTax), and Procurement/Order-to-Cash processes, the training ensures functional and process-level fluency
The GL module embarks on the foundation—chart of accounts design, ledger configuration, currencies, accounting calendars, journal flows, and cross-validation—leading to week-by-week transaction postings, allocations, and consolidation . AP and AR modules focus on supplier/customer setup, invoice handling, payments, receipt processing, aging, auto-cash, and dunning procedures, integrating seamlessly across subledger and GL flows.
Cash Management centers on capturing bank data, auto-reconciliation, and financial forecasting. FA equips learners to manage asset sets, depreciation calendars, workbench operations, and mass moves. SLA and EBTax modules unveil subledger accounting rules, journal import processes, and advanced tax engine configuration for compliance across jurisdictions .
Procurement and Order Management training ensures full visibility of the procure-to-pay lifecycle—from purchase orders and receipt matching to invoice approvals and payment cycles—linking inventory and financial modules . Reporting capabilities are showcased via standard tools like FSG and embedded dashboards, introducing OTBI and BI Publisher for analytics and finance insights .
Multi-org configurations, security rules, MOAC, and period-end activities round out the training. A final capstone project integrates all modules, requiring setup, transactional execution, reconciliation, and analytical reporting reflective of real business scenarios.
By the end, participants possess functional expertise equivalent to Oracle’s 1Z0 certification map, along with practical skills to serve as Oracle Financials Functional Consultants or implementation specialists. The curriculum emphasizes real-life business simulation, ensuring graduates are ready to configure, execute, and support comprehensive finance processes within Oracle EBS environments.
